As Christians, we are called and challenged to give our best to run the Christian race. The Apostle Paul, who was fully devoted to the mission of God, gave his life to the preaching of the gospel. He suffered and endured much adversity in order to bring the good news to others during his missionary journeys. In the last days before his death, he said that he had fought the good fight and finished the race. Paul is our great model who had ended his life well. Let us be persevering and diligent in our service to God. Let us aspire to be the best athletes we can be so that we will receive the prize that Christ will present to those who seek and serve him faithfully. Just like how Singapore clinched the silver medal in the women's table tennis team finals at the Beijing Olympics 2008. Indeed, we rejoice in this joyous occasion as we have been waiting for this Olympics medal for 48 years! We celebrate as our players gave of their best and did our nation proud by winning the coveted prize.
